this is UCD Black Madeira going into second yr. i'm still waiting it to fill up a little with leaves before putting on F4FF auction. best shaped Black Madeira out of 3 that i have growing right now. i have rooted two this yr and one is doing great. not sure about the terminal bud cutting. this one is going into its 2nd yr. 

I have a terminal bud BM cuttings that seems to be a dud also.  I always thought that if I cutting was going to root it a terminal bud cutting would be the best chance.  I guess that's not always the case.

tom, it's hard to say. i do notice that terminal bud cuttings are having little slow reaction. however, this yr, my Ischia Black, and Barnissotte are doing rather well. so did Nero 600M until i messed up. 

Are you talking about IB, and Barnissotte cuttings?  My Ischia Black and Barnissotte have put on great growth this year.  The Ischia Black seemed to respond to the fact I removed some air layers last year or maybe it likes pruning.
