This is a Black Marseilles VS Fig that I rooted from cutting back in April. It is huge now. No figs on it though. I plan on putting it in ground next year and protecting it with isolation and then the third year I will try it out with no protection except mulch. It will stay on my south side of my house in zone 6a. On a unrealated note, I bought this 'Sabal Minor' palm tree on eBay today. The mother was growing unprotected in Northen New Jersey for 12 years. I will put this in  the ground in a couple of years. Sorry for the low quailty pictures, they were taken by my webcam.

I rooted mine early this year too.  I put it in the ground at the beginning of June and it's well over 2 feet tall now.  I'll probably protect mine for the first 2 years as well.  Good luck!

my MBVS is a very string grower and is a super candidate for air layers as it roots very quickly
