Black Triana figs

Well the first figs off my Black Triana, nice size and very sweet, about an 8 on sweetiness and about a 7 on flavor. I think it will be a keeper. Tree is 3 years old.

Hi David.

Your Black Triana is looking good. Where did you get this one?

I know I caught a glance of your list of fig varieties before but how many vars do you think you have?

I should still get a few figs this season. But about half of mine are done already. I think this is mostly due to the fact that I buried my trees last winter.

Hi Bill,
Thank you. They are just now getting ripe. They are soooo sweet. I purchased them from Joe in Mass.
I have 17 diffrent varieties. My figs seem about 1/3 finished with production.
Have a good day.

I too have a Blk Triana from Joe Morley.  This is it's second year, and doing very well, although it will be some time before the figs are ripe in my more northern zone.  I'm looking forward to tasting them.  I have only four or five figs this year, but I think next year should be much better.

Andrew, they are very sweet, I think they are one of my favorites. I hope you are happy with yours. I have 15 -20 figs on the tree and more growing.

Ah yes, Joe Morely. I've not ordered from him yet but may very well do so in the spring.

By the way David. My 9yr old and I have been enjoying your fig jam very much. I think it tastes great and it was a big hit with my little girl right off the bat. When I get ready to make some I will have to consult your recipe :-) . Thanks again!
