Black Tuscan

I acquired this one several seasons ago from a generous forum member. It looks like this year it will be producing a few figs. I have not seen too much information posted on this variety lately. Can anyone share their experience with growing Black Tuscan? Any history behind this fig? Any photos? Thank you.

I've not heard of this one at all. Would love to see pictures of leaf pattern and fruit when you get a chance of your BT also Leon.

Wish I could help. I was gifted a one gal plant last
summer but it was one of my 38 casualties from this
past winter.

Ripens late for me & at a bad time in rainy cooler Fall. Ripening time clashes with my fishing time where I give little focus to figs. Excellent color but due to its lateness Taste is OK - more likely impacted by much cooler weather. For now it is not a priority variant due to its lateness. Things could change as I have re-built my green house.

My plant is healthy with 2 air layers for friends. I believe it would do better in a drier hot zone. My plant came from Jon when phyto certification for imports was cheap.

Pattee, if and when it fruits, I'll post pictures. Thank you.
