I today pick up this fid..We do have 3 days of rain here..
This one suppose to be a Blue Giant..
But, I'm don't sure, I got this one from Ebay..
If anybody else have Blue Giant, please, give me yours opinion or post pics, please..

I don't think I do have a real one, but one I do have not bad and all..
I do have few of them and seems like all produce good amount of figs..Even very small one..
So, even I don't have a real Blue Giant this one not bad..
Hopefully soon I want to post a pics of St Jean...I don't think this one real too, but figs are huge, they still have a way to go, but very interesting what is a real name of this one also..
I got on Ebay a fig , seller call this one New Jersy, because this is where this fig grow..
I was have no idea what it is.. Fig taste good, I real like it..Now..I do have 2 Marseilles VS.. They have identical fruit, leaves.. I want try to eat fruit in same day also.. I almost sure they are the same..
Cathy, please, post a pics when you will pick them up..
I know..I'm bad.. I almost never can wait till fruit real ready..
Hopefully next year I will have more fruits, so I will be able to wait..

This pland "St Jean"..I think, I'm don't sure, but I think I got from this guy on Ebay , I speak about guy about everybody angry..I got from him like 30 figs..
So, this one grow very slow, I have this one about 2 years, may be little less, now this almost 2,5"... Have 2 figs on it..I was kind surprise to see this figs..I think this one will not produce for a long time.. They are still very green, but size is huge..I will post a pics when they will ready..I'm very interesting to hear other members opinion about this one..
So, I can't this is a St Jean.. this one just have a tag with this name..
About this "Blue Giant" next time I will wait till this one will real ready..I want to see how this will taste and look..And may be somebody can say what it is..

I order from UCDA St Jean for 2012..
So, I will try to root it, if I will get it..
I'm not angry with this guy... I just try to find out what I have and trying to get plants with right name..
One plant have tag Dark Portuguese, but fruit was yellow color:-) so I know for sure this is not a Dark Portuguese:-)
So, I got from Bass the right one:-)
I already order Blue Giant also, the right one, so hopefully till end of this year I will get it..
And I just love to eat figs..I think I can eat only figs all day long.. every day..
So, I eat figs even if they don't have a right name:-)
Biggest problem for me to wait till they real ripe...

HAHAHA......Olga that is about how it is around here..about waiting on the figs to ripen.

How they taste?

Figs look great Cathy!! Another turtle keeper alright!! I have 8 turtles and 8 tortoises. They get the figs that the birds destroy. 

What kind of tortoises?  We have Sulcata's, Red-foots, Stars and Leopards.

Red foots, Hermans and a Leopard. Stars are beautiful, Sulcatas way too big for my yard

Here is the smaller suclata.

Very cool!! I'm guessing the large one is too large to pick up.

You guys will real like to meet my girlfriend.. She have over 2000 turtles...

I don't think I want to try eat turtles..
But I know people who live around me.. eat them.. and not only turtles.. they go hunting and eat all kind..
not me..
I don't like when people kill animals period...
I don't think I can kill them...ever...

You know, few years ago I lived in Shanghai for a year, there turtle was on the menu of the most restaurants. On the other part of the town there was a market that used to sell them alive, plus some other types of animals that I do not want to name.
I have never tried turtles and really do not want to.

Cathy, I hope those Suclata aren't lap tortoises.  They don't look too cuddly and would take up some serious space in one's lap.  LOL
