Pete, Pete, Pete......
The set-up was perfect....I just couldn't resist. I had to go for it.
I guess using letter initials is necessary when it comes to varietal names. It saves time. We have: BM...VdB... BT... 'Martin's Unknown' MU...etc.
I recently sent wood to LSU for evaluation. I'm hoping they will soon release my discovery. A new, unique, variety called ... 'Frank's Unknown'. Imagine what the postings would be like with those initials.
For example:
"I waited only 6 years for the first figs. The fruit was dark red inside, and tasted like ripe apricots, raspberries, with a hint of chocolate-pistachio ice cream. My wife, thank God, loved the taste...she asked me what they were called, and I told her "F-U".... When I'm released from the hospital, I'm going to place an order for three more trees"...
