I find that black madeira compared to most other varieties seems to give me figs on new cuttings more frequently.

I will be very interested to see how you rate the fruit.

I have one also that is doing fine with growth, hopefully it will have great tasting figs here in wet/hot Florida.

An update. This fig is dropping all it's figs. I don't expect any to set this year.

Need wasps?

I hope it does not need "the wasp" because I have 2 and I have high expectations for them.

I think It's either a Breba fig or needs the wasp. It's not holding on to anything.

Dropped the Breba crop and now dropping the main crop. This one is a goner

I guess I need to bag some fruit to see if they persist.  I picked a few from mine this evening.
