Bored?

I am looking for someone to sort through the 1001 links and put them into categories: Nurseries, Recipes, Fee sites, Varietal info, Disease, etc.

Any takers?

I'm game.  Happy to help.  Can do it this weekend.

Do you have a set list of categories?  Also, do you want some links to appear in more than one category (as duplicates)?

Or maybe do more of a "Tagging" type system like you'd find on blog sites?

Open to feedback.  There's "easier for the developer", "easier for the user" and something in between.  I prefer the latter.

Don't have an established set of categories.

They can appear in more that one category - I expect some will be in several categories. It will be better is someone else establishes some categories, which will give a broader range of what people are looking for, and how they "think".

Definitely want user friendly.

Other poeple can suggest categories, even if they are not doing the sorting.

Even a list of link numbers wth suggested keywords or categries will help.  I defintely want categories for history and personalities, literature, fee sites (which let people know what is available, for a price, if they are really interested.

Ultimately this will form the basis of a FAQ section.

Thanx

I waaay underestimated how much work this would end up being.

Pit,
I can be of some help too.

It would be very useful if we can also sort out the links that are state and region specific, so people can hone in on things that are specific to their location and climate.

Yes,

It is a big project, but any level of help is appreciated. But if we get it done,. we all benefit. Hopefully is is an opportunity for people who can't contribute to the community in other ways, to play a role in the community.

I added almost 50 links this weekend (not uploaded yet) but the coding for the website is the easy part. Checking the links, archiving them, creating the PDFs, and generally preserving the info is where all the time goes. Ingevald just added 20 links on figs in Japan this week, so I started through those, but haven't finished yet. I love it, but still eed to get adopted so I can have more time.
