One of my favourite dark berry figs. A very vigorous grower also. Its a later fig so I give it a bit of a head start in the greenhouse. These figs could have used a few more days ripening but noticed a drop of honey in one. Centres were full of honey.

Very nice. How old and how productive is your tree?

Its 4 years old now from a cutting.. about 6' tall in a 20 gallon pot and produced about 30 figs for me this year.

I need to up pot my two years old which is growing slower than usual in a one gallon container. Lol

My two year old us going from a 3 to a 5 gallon this February. Gorgeous pics!

Thanks guys... it definitely worth the extra effort to get them to ripen in my zone. And I should clarify... its 6' tall including the 20 gallon pot lol... I guess the plant itself is only about 4' ;)

Just wonder that in your climate, Is col de dame ripen their fig earlier than Bourjasotte Noire?

greenhouse should be useful in our zone. My fig in the trees didn't grow for 2-3 weeks any more and I got rid of them. 
I should try greenhouse when it is possible in future.

Ricky.. I haven't had any of my Cdd's produce figs for me yet (had some this year but they dropped) but I would think they would be as late if not later than BN from what I've read.

Pino.. this one seems to put out figs in bunches similar to Maltese Beauty which is nice. I also used miracle grow "mega bloom" granulated fertilizer so not sure if that had any effect or not.

Hey Tyler, is your tree coming from Brugmansia qc? I was wondering if what they are selling is true to type and the same thing.

Also wanted to mention that when our frosts hit I pulled off some figs that had started turning dark but were still rock hard. Latex oozed out of them when I picked them. I put them on the counter and within 4 or 5 days they had softened and were quite jammy interiors and tasted quite good. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend others try this at the end of the season for figs that have changed colour but not ripened yet.

After seeing your post I am so glad that I ordered one of these ... although it will probably be a couple of years before I will see figs from it.
