Bourjassotte Gris main, A+ fig

This is the first one for me, I didn't know what to expect, the fig broke any expectations.
Large and not hollow, doesn't split, the skin is thin and ripens quickly, the taste is intense just as the looks.
Highly recommend it.

Agree!  It's a winner!  You forgot to say that it's prolific and a vigorous grower.  If you want a monster tree, this one will fill the bill!  I was shocked at the size of the trunks this year, and it has many!  I'm letting it grow as a bush, hoping the critters won't make it to the inner branches.

It has two crops, both amazing delicious!  Juicy?  Absolutely!

Not sure how it does in other planting zones, but in yours and mine, it kicks!!

Looks really good

Looks like a great fig! I swear I learn about a new variety ever day that makes me consider expanding my collection :). Thanks for sharing

Suzi,
You said it well! Thank you!

Nice! Looks like one that I will have to try out here in the desert!

Beautiful Fig!! DANG,  I love that color! Thanks for posting!

Very cool!

This is the one I'm currently most anxious to ripen.  The fruit on mine should start swelling any day, can't wait!

Beautiful fig, Igor. Though mine wasn't caprified, it was outstanding. Among my best this year.

Been a while since I posted. Interior is attractive

I love how the spots on the figs skin mirror the dappled sunlight in the background on the last picture.  Very beautiful fig!

So true! There are some artists among us :)

Looks beautiful, Igor.

The first two figs on mine are ripening now, looking forward to it. It's a small tree but covered in figs. If mine turn out half as good as yours looks, it's a keeper!

Looks amazing

I been putting off up potting mine. I got to get busy. Ready for some fruit now ! That interior looks almost a black cherry thanks for your time igor.

I am glad it is a fairly common variety since it is a very good one!
Although I must warn you also that it is the most popular variety with my squirrels and rats too :(
Out of 4 figs the little tree produced, 3 were eaten when were still hard and green! I had to protect the one presented with a plastic cup and lots of tape!

Sorry about the squirrels and rats getting to your tree.  They are so busy destroying my Verte that they haven't discovered this one yet!  Woke up early to the sounds of owls mating calls.  I hope they make many little owls to eat all the critters around here!  Great Western Horned Owl is very distinctive.  Screech Owls same.  The hills were alive this morning with those calls echoing from tree to tree and across ravines.

My tree is in ground and it's just growing like a weed!  It gets full sun.

Ooohwee, saliva ON!

Hi Igor.
what a beautiful looking fig, I could almost taste it!

Vito

Wow, just makes my mouth water! Beautiful fig! If you ever want to sell cuttings, let me know. I am a newbee with figs so looking for good variety.

My two first year trees are still in five gallon pots. One made a few figs, so I brought the whole pot inside each night to protect the figs from the raccoons. The fragrance from the ripening fruit was so strong it filled the room. No wonder every critter around wants it. It was one of the better first year figs of the lot, jammy with a good sweetness level and with enough acid to give it a fruity note. Great color! (but you can't taste color) Two more figs are on it, so I keep it close to the back door to bring it in again when needed.

Awwww, looks delicious!  Amazing color!  Looks like it melts in your mouth.

I keep looking at these Photos, especially the 2nd photo, this is the most amazing photo of the insides of a Fig I have ever seen and I have been to Photography School. Congrats on a beautiful Fig and also the Image which keeps blowing my mind! Thank You for Posting!
