Thanks Ruben!  Looks like an awesome fig!  I potted them up with UPM.  Let's see how they grow.  More to come this Fall.

Martin, sorry to here you had to put down your Pastiliere.  Mine is fruiting for me in my climate.  The figs are small and look like black marbles when ripe.  The birds have beat me to 2 of the figs already.  I took a pic a few days ago.  I'll post the pic soon.  Mine is about 4 years old.  It kept dropping figs too until this year.  I also got 2 Rouge de Bordeaux from Europe.  From what I hear they are the same as Pastiliere.  Well, we will soon find out!  My 2 Rouges are only 2 years old so maybe next year I will be able to compare.  My trees do not have FMV and are growing in self watering pots.

This season it gave me 2 outstanding figs and very memorable ones and maybe the best i have eaten to tease me.
The rest started to fall off quickly.

So i had enough and burned it good just like my Zidi.

I also have Rouge de Bordeaux with 1 fig that may do do something before season ends.
Next season i watch it and it should display good amount of figs.

But it better not drop them next season like Pastiliere did or i will rip out of pot bring to burn can and sit there in a chair with a plate of my other figs eating them as it burns .


As a note i just put my Belleclare Sal's Corleone in that big pot this morning.
