Boxes for Figs

Hi, how are you people doing?
I was wondering, since my fig production is progressing and i am thinking of trying my luck and selling some in the market.
However i am looking for the best type of boxes/carts to stick them in and lay them at my vendors spot and i cant find anything. I want something neat and decent that will attract customers sight. Not something like that

Are you aware of any place to order decent boxes. I want a box with holes so i can put my figs in there and not throw them one on top of the other. Maybe i am asking for too much???

I bought figs from a produce stand recently and they were in boxes with little cups in them.  One would think that paper half-egg cartons would serve as an easy kind of packaging for figs (check out what restaurants get when purchasing eggs by the dozens and dozens for example).

See http://www.putnamfarm.com/results.php?category=23  or http://www.putnamfarm.com/results.php?category=24  for some ideas. There are also plastic clamshells made for blueberries, etc. Take a look around at your local supermarket or produce stand to see what they are using for other fruits that you could adapt.

On another forum, Ken Love posted comments last year about the ugly California figs found in these very nice packages in a Costco store in Kona:

Ken is in Italy right now, so you might not get an answer right away if you write him.  I wonder if he found the manufacturer's name on the package.

Depending on the size of the figs, you could use egg flats or egg cartons either in foam, plastic or pulp.  The misprinted ones are cheaper than the non-printed.  Perhaps you can create a new variety of figs called "egsg"

Good luck,
