Both Common varieties originated long ago in Northern Africa are large figs, sweet, juicy and with rich berry flavors, slightly acidic. These trees are very prolific and seem to ripen the best fruit when growing near the sea. Mostly utilized fresh as a table fruit. Francisco

Thank you all for comments Nelson, Yes, the 'Braçajotes' are late season figs, particularly the black, which in mild and warm autumns and special attention may ripen figs through December. Francisco

jds, Yes I have. We call it, 'Braçajote raiado' or 'Braçajote listado'. For some reason it's not a popular variety. Francisco
