Brandy Fig Miss Labeled

This is a tree that i posted on earlier in the year that was stressed due to begin root bound.  I got the Ross Rootfeeder and have been watering with it and the tree has come back great.  New problem is now the figs are ripening and they are dark in color cannot be a yellow Brandy fig.   I bought this tree from Mr Robins in LA. and looks like he sold me the wrong tree.  Can any ID the fig tree that i have.  Thanks   Angelo

Probably lsu Scott's black.

It is an LSU Fig looking at leaves.
And it is a good one looking at the close eye and the fact it was getting ripe so early.
My Scott"s Black is far from ripe at this point.
If you kept it in Greenhouse, over the Winter and it started leafing out in April, then it is Scott's Black,if it wasn't in Greenhouse and leafed out in May is not Scott's Black because it wouldn't be ripe now.
One way or another it is a fig that could turn out to be a better cultivar than Brandy.

Angelo i see my suggestion to use the ross root feeder worked better than i would imagine it made a yellow fig into a dark type.    ; )

Herman 2. It was not in the greenhouse and it leaved out in May.  I have a Scott's Black and it is not even close to being ripe.  Once I pick it I will post a picture of the halves.  Sure would like to know the variety.  Did anyone else buy from Mr. Robin and get this type of fig?   Angelo

So it's still a mystery.  These little mysteries can work out well.  Purchased my first Italian Honey fig from Gurney's online, and it was NOT what I bought.  Better!!  Lucked out there!!  VdB!

Show us pics when it gets ripe!

Skin cracking is characteristic.  Could this be Black Italian or Native Black?  (thinking of the varieties JR has... and I get those two confused).
