Breakfast of Champions

Greetings All

I've been picking relatively small numbers of Hardy Chicago figs over the last few weeks, sharing with co-workers, neighbors and family.  Eating pretty much as they were picked right from the tree.   Decided on Thursday to save two days worth of figs and make a breakfast of champions, nice youghurt topped with fresh figs from our garden.

The nice fig taste was only complemented by the tang from the youghurt.  All very good way to start the day.

Here are the two portions

Wow!  Amazing!  Your figs look so yummy!

Thanks for showing what you did .  ; )

Proper! Polenta cakes(or grits if that's what you call them) with fig and walnut jam, eggs over-easy, and a breakfast sausage patty.

The texture of the polenta with the snappy crunch of the fig seeds make your mouth happy, their flavors really pair nicely as well. My smoked breakfast sausage is even better on this plate but we had the patties today.
