Breba on Vicenzo in mid-July

A belated posted picture of a breba on 'Vicenzo' was taken July 15. I was too impatient to take the cut picture but the pulp was amber colour. It was the first time it produced brebas. Any sweet fig is a good tasting fig for me so can't say much about it in connoisseurly manner. Originally Paully had kindly given me the cuttings under the name "Broglio Vincenzo" but later called it "Vicenzo".

Akram, did you eat it all or share it with the wife.

I hope you let the color turn dark purplish before you picked. I think JS tree has many figs for the season.

Pauly it is a race between us and the critters. Raccoon knows when it is ripe unlike the stupid squirrels who bite at it at any time.
Today we had broken branches on brookred plums because the plums were ready for pickup and there is none left (there were not too many in the first place on the small tree). Raccoons did it because the garbage can lid with  lever was opened and garbage stuff strewn around.
Yes I always share it with my wife and now I know why she tolerates all the plants around the house.
