Breba photos wanted for Fig Photo Identification project

In 2007 the online version of "California Agriculture" posted a PDF I made of Ira Condit's 1955 "Hilgardia" publication "Fig Varieties: A Monograph".  I am interested in furthering Condit's work by creating a Fig Variety Photographic Identification System that is intended to be accessible to anyone wanting to identify an unknown Fig Variety.

Please visit pages 3-5 of my website to see the format I'm looking for and contact me if you are interested in contributing photos to include in the database:

I'm starting with the Breba crop as it is the only crop that ripens here in Seattle, but the Photo ID database should include Main crop photos as well in order to be a useful tool.

Happy Growing,   kiwibob

Bob, i went to the link and went to page 3 i think and was reading about the fig trials then clicked on bottom to go to next page but recieved a "service is unavailable message" so i closed it and tried link again but keep getting that message after several tries.

I went all the way to the end no trouble!

Thanks for posting kiwibob

Bob,

I had the same problem with page 5.

Here is what page five looks like here~!
End of page.

All uncredited photos by The Puget Sound Kiwi Co. All numbered divisions in the scale that appears in some PSK photos are in centimeters. Kiwi Korners photo scale is in inches. All square Fig/leaf photos are an actual size of 30cm x 30cm for purposes of determining size. All ripe figs shown are of the Breba crop except the Caprifig "Gillette" which is of the Profichi crop.

I now have a digital camera and have photographed over 13 species of Actinidia for use in KEJ#7. Advanced orders & monetary donations to help with production expenses for KEJ#7 are now being accepted! Please e-mail a request for more information to: <kiwibob AT scn DOT org>

Enjoy, and visit often!

Sorry about the problem.  Geocities measures the bandwidth usage and when the allocated capacity is exceeded in a given time span, they shut down access to the website.  It's happened to me several times while updating the website.  If you wait 12-24 hours and try again, it usually works.  I can e-mail copies in MS Word.doc format that include the photos on my website and the draft of the Fig Variety Photo ID System proposal if you send me an e-mail requesting them.
