Bringing 1 gal potted plants in the house?

I have a 1/2 dozen potted fig plants that will not grow (too hot around here lately) What do you all think about me bringing the plants indoors at about 11AM and placing them in a South facing window, then taking them out early AM until about 11AM?

Good Idea? bad Idea?

thanks

Hey Cecil i have been thinking. uh oh...... smoke coming out ears.....

Anyways like Gorgi i also do not have that type of problem here as well, is it possible to put those pots in a dug hole near some shade or even partial shade till something about them changes and perhaps throw some mulch over the base after a watering it might help keep them a little color and keep the hot Texas sun from heating up the root system. Perhaps keeping them in there pot and in a hole in the ground covered with mulch might help stabalize the root temps somewhat.

Hey its just a thought!   ; )

I'd leave them outside, and provide some partial shade if necessary for the afternoon.

Thats alot of work moving Cecil. My 1 gal potted plants  & 32 oz  cup rooted cuttings are all under the persimmon tree & they get  morning sun  till about 12 pm. The potted soil is a mixed of perlite, top soil & compost. I have started MG fertilizer like what Gorgi said for the last 3 weeks and they are doing well. I water once like every 3 days usually & if temp is above 85*F, its every 2 days. Also, the pots are mostly buried half way up.

Many thanks Guy's

I have the plants on the front porch, so keeping them in the shade is no problem, I can give them sun in the mornings, I have been leaving them in the Sun until 10 AM or so, But the afternoon sun I keep off of them.....Around this part of the country we max out daily temps at about 5 PM. It is 2:37PM right now, and an even 100 degrees with 24% humidity.

I just don't want to loose my little plants!

Again, THANKS

Thanks Dan,

I might plant some of the small potted plants in-ground

in the next few days, I have 3 in 3 gal pots ea. that are really looking good,
I will leave those alone and plant the 1 gal potted ones in-ground,
the only thing, our winters get a lot colder than
yours does, So I will have to protect them in the next few winters.
