Last month I posted some pictures of some breba figs from two brooklyn  trees. One was nicknamed "brooklyn hand grenade", the other had a unique wine stain on the inside. Here are some pictures of the main crop i picked this week.  Taste was excellent.                    Angelo NY Zone 7a

Paully,  Yes I have both trees. Jason, Trees are not in my yard so i picked whatever was close to ripe. As per the hand grenade fig, it looks similar to brunswick ,however is a much better performer. This fruit doe not split/sour like brunswick and the eye is a bit tighter. I also have brunswick. As per the white fig, its origin is from Bari Italy, my hometown. The leaves on the fig you compare it with are very different. From my observations the white fig may be the same as  Barese white from Belleclare.  Angelo

Not all Brunswick split and sour. I have three figs nearly identical to Brunswick, and Paradiso is argued to be a variant of Brunswick or related as well, none of which may be affected by rain. I can link up a few variants if you want to compare.

That is correct Jason. Herman also has a variant he calls long brown honey. I have already looked up the other brunswick types. My tree also does not show FMV, unlike my two other Brunswicks, Red Italian ETC. I happen to like the flavor of the brunswick types.  Thanks ...Angelo

Bill S has 'unknown haikel lebanese'.
I have 'unknown voiture 217'.

Neither of them seem to split in heavy rain, both have most (or all) dominant traits of Brunswick.
