Brooklyn white brebas

This is my dad with his Brooklyn white fig tree. It is loaded with breba at this time. The tree is huge, about 15'- 20' tall. But it is in town,in a good micro climate. Hasn't been wrapped for several years.

Pretty pretty!

Hmm the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Safe to say "like father like son" :-)

Bass, For some strange reasons BW brebas taste bland this season. The interior looks drier. I wonder why it is happening to all BW brebas this season. I hope the main crop taste is as good as before. A good productivity variant.

Wow that is one productive tree. The start I bought from you has put on about 4 feet since May. I can't wait.

Paul, I have a tree in a pot, the breba wasn't as good as the in ground tree. I'm wondering if yours is potted or in ground.

Great pics Bass! Sadly I lost my Brooklyn White this winter, it and another I managed to miss watering and they dried out and died. Fortunately I got a replacement from a generous member of the forum. Not a little start either, but a larger tree that is producing figs already. I would have had to ask one of 2 neighbors that I gifted Brooklyn white to for a cutting otherwise.

good looking figs there bass.

Jenny, you crack me up!  I am still  laughing! I do agree though. Everytime I look at Bass's dad.

Hey Bass, next year, i'm gonna plant one of mine in my orchard.  I got the perfect spot for it too!  I got one tree that's about 3 feet tall with figs on, one is ripening now.  I can't wait to taste it!

Wow! Now those are some large figs.

Very nice!!!

Bass, the tree is in the pot -- large tree. Perhaps it is time to change soil. Strangely the interior was
on the drier side & the ripe fig does feels ligh wt. Thanks for the tip.

Nice photos!

Mine may produce this year, has been vigorous.
