Thanks for Posting, my Brown Turkey has 5 Lobes on the leaves, you may have a different one than me, maybe its English Brown Turkey.

My Brown Turkey has 5 lobes. When the plants is young (in pot), sometimes the lobe is not stable.
Here is the leave of my Brown Turkey when the plant is mature:

how will you know if the bud you have on the plant is a leaf or fruit.  My leave fell off but are growing on the lower section now.

USUALLY the leaf bud is pointier and the fruit is more rounded, usually.

purplesandwhich,
If it's a "terminal" bud ( a sort of cone-shaped bud on the tip of a stem) it's probably a leaf bud. Flower (fruit) buds are dome-shaped, like a little bead. The flower bud sits above and behind the leaf, so if it's a flower bud you'll usually see a round scar below it where the leaf was. Beautiful fig but I do not think it is a Brown Turkey.  I have 2 different Brown Turkeys, the Southern and the English and neither has the skin color or eye color like yours.  It is really a nice looking fig.
