Howdy! I'm a fig newbie and have two young plants. A Chicago Hardy and LSU Gold. The leaves on my LSU Gold have been turning brown and curling. The Chicago Hardy is healthy.

I don't know if the problem is with watering or insects and am looking for advice. I'm in South Florida.

It looks like you have mealybugs attacking your trees. If you have it on one tree then chances are its on the other.
The first thing I would do is to cut off they leaves that are too far gone to save and either burn them or if not possible then at least put them in a plastic bag and seal it.
Wipe off the remaining leaves destroying as many of the bugs as possible. After you've done what you can then spray the remaining leaves with neem oil.
That should help to eliminate the population.
