Well listening to Tom Skilling one of the best meteorologist here if not the best on WGN News today he was saying our temps are of january levels and will continue with more snow as there being tracked one after another coming from the west with cold Canada air coming from the North, as i speak 13 out now it was around 7 when i awoke at 6"00am and in my attached garage it was 24 or so and thats the back wall away from overhead door, folks in Northeast i think are going to get some of this as well it seems the way the map looked, snow and cold if already happening well your getting more of the same soon sorry to say. Think i would be used to this living here all my life but i never look forward to it. This is just the beginning to unfortunately.
Tree's are sleeping well now toward back of garage and covered with sheets to somewhat shield them when i have to go out and wind blows in garage brrr that darn wind.
Well i wonder what January and February will bring , im sure more of the same and more colder air , sure must be nice out there in California or at least a little better i would guess. Oh Jon im sure you will read this as well , would like to see the wind blow from California come January our way.

I am afraid you may say 'you are a bad guy' but I feel a bit better now knowing that we share this luck of the weather otherwise it would have been a lonely cold winter. Why not think positive that a week from now there will be only 100 days left until the official spring and then the real spring will follow sometimes in the summer.
How do you keep 17 degF difference between the outside and the inside of the garage (24 & 7) if it is not heated? Is the garage insulated?
Our garage, not insulated and not heated, barely keeps 5 deg F difference between outside and inside in cold winter.

this is first year i put indoor outdoor thermometer in garage to see temps. The garage has they say a insultated door with 1 panel on the top that has glass inserts, i insultated the garage with insulation that fits in between the wood on all the walls, the roof has a couple of vents i guess to let out exhaust as garage is attached on 1 side to house and entered thru kitchen door. Im curious now when we get a good cold spell for a couple weeks what the temp difference will be then if we get one as some years have been not so cold, this year so far seems like a colder snowier year with more snow on the way. That weatherman looks out to the ocean it seems now and says that there are potentially 3 or 4 more waves of snow that might come thru, seems like there getting a little better with the weather just a little maybe. Anyways i'll post again when it gets winter around here and colder, garage also gets warmer of course come spring time than outdoors also i can feel when i go there then open overhead door and go outside. Wish it was a 3 car garage then i could have whole side to myself for tree's/.
