He says he ships in May-June.  If he ships too early the plants aren't really ready and they don't survive.  It's Canada so the last frost date is in August.  ;)     They are generally recently rooted cuttings.

Hey hey now Bob its not THAT cold up here. Our igloos usually melt by mid June so its safe to plant the tomatoes then :)

Last year I got mine the last week of April.
This year nothing so far. Should be soon though.
If I haven't got them yet it just saves me the fig shuffle!

Greetings people!I got my four figs a couple of days ago and I'm very pleased with them:they arrived in good condition and are anywhere between 23 to 33cm in height(9 to 13in).I got Danny's Delight, Negronne(aka Violette de Bordeaux),Marseilles VS Black and Sal's.

My order came yesterday also. Only 2 days from shipment. Plants were all very healthy looking and the Sal's El even came with a cherry sized fig on it lol.




This was taken immediately after unpacking.



One of them was a Ronde de Bordeaux but the leaves clearly show it isn't. I'm waiting to hear back from Dany wondering if this one just got mislabelled on his end.

The Ronde De Bordeaux I got from Baud has two types of leaves at first it put out 1 leaf with no lobes and now it puts out 5 lobed leaves, the one I got from Dany is also 5-7 lobes but different again he maybe is selling précoce ronde de bordeaux but I do not know for sure either, I never bothered with it since I had nothing to compare, both will have figs this year though so we will see.

and this is a cutting I received from a guy in Austria that looks more like what I've seen in pictures..

I will take pictures later tonight to show the differences on mine, the one from baud looks ugly but it withstood frost so it looks pretty good considering.

The one with the skinniest leaves is the one from Dany I got last year, the others are all from the RdB I purchased from Baud, all on the same plant.

Chivas the 2nd last pic.. is that a Baud RdB??? It looks like it has longer lobes compared to the others. Maybe mine from Dany will develop those leaves as it grows. I was just surprised it was so different from my smaller RdB from Austria that had the long lobes right away.

The second last pic is Bauds as well, last year Dany's did more of the similar leaves as Baud's right now and only the skinnier ones at the end of the season.  Both of mine when exposed to the colder temperatures have red growing points I don't know if it continues into the summer or not though.

Still nothing for me, i paid for a rdb so will be interested to see what comes through.

Thanks Chivas.... if yours developed those leaves later than maybe mine is a RdB after all. :)
