Bud on separation of old wood and new wood

Hi there. I have a Kadota that started leading indoors in early March. You can see that it has quite a few brebas. I just noticed that right on the line between the old wood a new wood on the branches there's a little bud forming. Just wondering if it's another leaf / branch or a fruit bud.

I figured it is a new branch. Some of these buds look kind of yellow. Thanks!
