Building a Collection: Advice on Green Figs (with red interiors)

JH Adriatic (have)

Battaglia Green (have)

Stella

Dalmatie

These 4 look relatively similar to me... can anyone comment whether any of these are identical enough in taste and growing characteristics to warrant not including them in a collection?

I have both JH Adriatic and Stella and they are different. In my opinion they are both must have figs. I believe Dalmatie is essentially Stella so if you have one you don't need the other. I can't comment on Battaglia because I never tasted it.  Hope this helps

I have Vasilika Sika (the strain that is supposed to extremely similar to Dalmatie and Stella) and decided to give my Stella away to a friend whose tree froze to the ground.  I figure if it turns out that they are really different and Stella is really good I can get an airlayer back from her.

You may also want to try Green ischia and verte (strawberry verte) which are in the same category.

These are very nice figs but are any of them are prolific producers?

You may want to add Dottato to that collection and increase your fig harvest.

Verte is very prolific and an aggressive grower.  Delicious, large figs.
I don't have JH Adriatic, just Adriatic.  It's got tons of figs on it and is pushing lots of growth this year.  Borjosotte Gris is another green/red fig.  First year in ground.  Not sure how prolific it will be, but I've got it because it's reputation is that it's figs taste more strawberry than strawberries.  I think Desert King is red / green, but only one crop.

Thanks for the recommendations every one.  I am looking to consolidate though, not expand.  ;)

Consolidate? How do you even say that word? Definitely not in my vocabulary.

Hi, I have a Rockaway Green I rooted last winter. From what I've seen in previous posts, it's a beautiful and yummy fig. Hopefully, I'll find out next year:) Elizabeth.
