Please can I get some cuttings I would soooo love to eat those figs.... I picked and ate my first 3 figs this year but they were very small. Please let me know, Thank you in advance. Debbie

These look really good. I have a bursa black, but it dropped the figs it may need pollination or its because it is a young tree still. Do you know if bursa black needs a pollination to set fruit?

Great looking figs, and huge. Wish they were available here!

Those are quite impressive!  Wonder if they would grow well here?

I am not impressed:
If it splits in Turkey do not even dare to grow in the northeast US.
And it is a cauducous cultivar that needs polination, too.
Now If I was in Fresno Ca.,and knew the timing and procedure of polinating,it using fig wasps and polen from male figs then I would dare to try growing it.

bass: Bursa black is 100% a smyrna type

Bu incirler çok guzul, sonbaharda kesimlirimizi değiş tokuş yapalım mı ?

Anybody know where the wasps or a surrogate of them can be purchased?

OMG. that is so amazing just to look @.
any of you guys selling a cutting or know someone that whom been selling Bursa?

Hey Bass, You can send me your black Bursa...We have that little pollinator here. ;-)
Sue

Hi Sue, I hope to take cuttings of my tree when it gets a bit larger. I'm not sure if it definitely needs a pollinator.

Any 'cut' photos? Please spare us...

Bass, Ive also heard it was a Smyrna type and needs the wasp.  My cousins wife is from turkey and she said 90% of the varieties in Turkey need the wasp.

Nas

Today I ate some of these figs here in Vienna, they are imported from turkey every year. This year in an excellent condition. They are very fine. But how to describe taste and sweetness? Wonderful big fig bomb.

Bass have you or anyone else have any luck with this fig ripening in our area? Thanks
