DATELINE LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA.....
So here we are in beautiful almost downtown Lafayette Louisiana! Checked into the Inn (Sleep Inn) on a freebie points reward deal. I have stayed in this Inn before with no problems, not so good this time. They are in the middle of a renovation, a mess it is! Oh well, tomorrow, tomorrow will bring what? Lafayette is a very nice campus city with a very nice downtown and several good places to eat. But, we are not here to sight see or eat, well maybe eat, we are here to attend the inaugural Cajun Fig Fest!!!, I know this is going to be a great get together and I wish there were more forum members attending. I hope to learn a lot so that next year we can do one in Texas - The BIG FIG GIG , WEST, we'll see but that is the plan. Hopefully the fellowship will be great and we will all learn a lot.
