We had a great time yesterday visiting with Gene Collins, wife Linda and sister in law Sylvia. We cooked lunch and traded a few figs(and fig stories) and got to know each other a little better. These folks are so friendly, it's like we've known them forever. This was their second visit. Please come again anytime,my friends.

I have not yet had the privilege of meeting Gene, but hope to someday. Gene has been incredibly helpful and generous...a true gentleman.  Enjoy the olives Gene!!!

You guys are too much. I must say that Tim is the best cook I've run across yet. His wife is so lucky and so are we to be included as his friends. Tell me where you can find some shrimp cornbread and have shrimp etoufee' to cover it with, a nice fresh salad, and a home bake blackberry cheese cake for desert. Wow, it was so good that I went back for seconds even though I was already overstuffed. Thanks Tim and Sherri for allowing us to drop in on such short notice and have such a great visit.

Gene and Linda are good folks.  Our visit was far too short when they came through town last year.  Maybe next time ;)

Over all I have met with many great members here in this forum.

Gene however went way out of his way to meet with me and that's something I will never forget. To drive 200 to 250 miles round trip just to meet a stranger speaks volume. He and his wife Linda and fig friend Vivian made it a memorable evening.

I know we will meet again.
