This is a perfect fig, here in my location. It is a young tree, in a 15 gallon pot. Very healthy foliage, and beautiful figs that are sweet and juicy, with a bit of acidity and a flavor that lingers. As good a fig as any so far here, quite a surprise for a young plant. My appreciation to Harvey C for this one.

Did Harvey C sell this on eBay or were you able to get cuttings from his site. Been looking for this bad boy but only French fig farm offers it for a paycheck

Thank you, Francisco. By the way, I had my family over for a BBQ 2 weeks ago. After dinner, we took a walk around, and my nephew was eating figs. I asked where he got it, and he pointed to my Inchario Preto. He said that they were excellent. Only 2 ripened, and I didn't get to taste them. Lucky I love my nephew.

Hi Gary. These are good news,  you got them to ripen and your nephew said they were excellent.
Believe he was tempted by the looks and flavors and forgot to share with uncle Gary!
I see what you feel but there will be more next year!.. Did you get any pics through the maturing process ?
Curious also to see what they would look like growing and ripening on those cooler environments.. particularly the insides..

Here , if kept on the tree to go slightly overripe,  it has a distinct  'honey' look.
Yours may probably be different.

One thing about the video. The figs are not being attacked by birds. I don't get it !!😀 Very nice fig.

Nice Video Francisco. Thanks for sharing. Wish I was there to taste and take cuttings of my favorites
They must have a lot of cheap land to have the fig trees spaced so far apart. I have a postage stamp size yard (Expensive in California cities) so the distance between trees is 6 feet and sometimes less

Gary, what is the actual diameter & weight of the fig?   i'm looking for a European (Naples & Nice) black fig that is the size of a baseball - literally.  i also understand there is one in North Africa as well.  probably the Romans were responsible for bringing it there or from there.   thx
