In the summer I teach a college class on top of my regular 40 hr a week job so I'm pretty busy. I water, weed, and run. I went out of town this weekend, got in not long ago, tired and exhausted. Brought out the hose and looky what I found!

Looks like it is growing on new growth so I am assuming this is a main crop of fruit. These are growing on my Chicago Hardy. Well, this is Seattle and I'm not sure if these will ripen in time so I am not going to hold out hope considering it is July and there is one that is bigger and many that are little baby embryos. Totally surprised me though!
I have this little tree baking along my south facing fence.

So then I checked all my other figs and saw more growing on my Desert King. It was a huge let down to realize it was also a main crop fig. Since we don't have the wasps here I should knock them down since there's no point in the tree putting any energy into them. I got no brebas. Funny how life works.

The rest of my garden was equally busy. My new day lily bloomed! As well as some bulbs I planted last year.
