Can it be time to plant out this years cuttings?

I recently repotted a newly rooted Negronne and found extremely long roots.

Two cuttings was placed in the rooting medium on April 8, 2012 and both were potted in a one gallon pot on April 18, 2012. Both had roots and bursting buds.

On May 20, 2012 I repotted again because my potting mix was holding too much moisture. When I pulled the plants from the pot I was surprised to see circling roots. I separated the two plants and found roots nearly nine inches long. Those long roots also had many lateral roots. I moved them up to a three gallon pot.

Is that much root growth normal in so short a time. Should I think about putting them in the ground.

How ya'll like them fancy plant markers?

Hey... didn't notice that plant marker the first time. I need to stop by Wendy's tomorrow on the way home. They have nice long plastic knives.

Pete

Dual purpose markers... you can label the plant, and cut the fruit in half with the same implement. ;)

Nice roots.

Good idea using plastic knives for markers.   I planted a few  outside in the yard  today, then potted some of my cuttings in the left over pots.

Wish mine had roots like those.

I really don't think it was anything that I did. I'm thinking that everything just lined up perfectly. I'll give a detailed response tommorrow as to how it all came to be.

I don't know that this helped but I don't think it hurt.

Those cuttings were put in Sphagnum Moss on 4-8-12 and removed on 4-18-12. One of them had 1/4 inch roots and the other had none. They were transplanted into 70% Fertilome Ultimate potting mix and 30% large Perlite.

I allowed them to settle in for a day or two and then applied about one cup of a mix I used on all of my potted cuttings. The mix uses these three ingredients.

Root stimulator, Citrus nutritional spray for minor nutrients and Fish emulsion. All were mixed half strength.

On 5-3-12 after having cuttings start to wilt I decided my potting mix was holding too much water and removed them from the pot to see. This is what I found.

OK I NEED HELP

How do I get the picture to appera instead of the thumnail?
