any pix? taste? if it's common or san pedro? if it worth rooting? i have Dauphine, and Vernino rooting right now. i see few good info or Vernino, but not much on Dauphine. not the Violette Dauphine. 

Bullet, I was told by Mr.J.Rice that Granthams Royal works out great for him. I took his advise & like its taste. If it is as productive & reliable like Desert King, then it is an excellent choice for my zone.

Good question. The type of Dauphine/Adam that Condit and others describe is San Pedro-type with green/yellow body and red/violet blush. Condit states clearly about dropping due to lack of caprification.  The Dauphine Galgoni describes is common bifera and almost looks like Sollies.  In the UCD dNa project, they said the sample Dauphine was from France (where as the Adam-type Dauphine came to the US via England in 1880s).   Hope you get some answers.
