Can you ID these figs?

Hi everyone,
I have two fig trees of unknown types that I would love to ID.  I know that no one will be able to tell me with certainty what they are, but I was hoping someone on here the most likely option(s).

Fig #1 is a purple fig that I bought I bought at either Lowes or Home Depot.  It is of average size when I compare it to figs I find at the grocery store.  It is dark red inside.  I can find a picture of the inside if needed.

Fig #2 is a green fig that I bought at a local nursery and was labeled as a brown turkey.  It is much larger than my other figs and has a pink center.  I don't have a picture of the inside.  The tag it came with says it came from Virginia Berry Farm.  Their website lists only purple figs available for purchase.  I tried contacting them to find out about any green varieties they may have sold in the past but I never got a response.  FYI, the picture they have on the website for the celeste fig includes a cut green fig that looks very much like the one I have. The webpage is http://www.virginiaberryfarm.com/pages/view/2/

If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it!!  Thanks in advance!

Leslie,

The Celeste on their photo is the other, smaller fig, not the green one. There are two varieties on that plate.

The darker fig on your photos looks like my Improved Celeste.

Hi Leslie,

Your purple fig looks not too far from this one...

Leslie,
Welcome to the forum community.
IMO, fig #1 may be Hardy Chicago and fig  #2 may be Conadria, more leaf picture and cut figs with a Quarter coin for scale would be helpful. Good Luck.

In the attached link...
The two pictured figs are Green Ischia (the larger fig) and Celeste (the smaller fig).

The LSU Purple and Hardy Chicago pictures are reversed. Hardy Chicago is the Brown Fig and LSU Purple is the purple fig.

Thanks for the replies!  Here is a picture of the purple fig cut open.  The green fig was at least twice the size.

#1 looks a lot like the Chicago Hardies I'm getting now. They seem to lighten up a lot once it gets cool.
