Capelas

Sorry for the quality of the photos and for not cleaning up the sap from the 2 small leaves I removed to take this photo, but I thought I'd share this photo as this tree is going for the "bumper crop - most figs for its size" award.

WOW

Michael...I have a Kadota fig tree that produces cluster figs like that...it is the only tree in my collection that does that...all the other trees produce figs in a more normal fashion...eg. 1 fig per leaf...best of luck with that tree and enjoy eating those figs.

Michael,

I have one too and can't wait to try it. I am in the process of doing an air layer for another member and after that I will hold off on chopping away at it. I need to let it grow so I can actually increase my chances for some fruit.

I have seen them almost ripe at Adrianos a couple years ago and they look like a Bosc Pear.
They are big and seem to grow in clusters.

Good luck with yours.

Vince,
I wonder if my Doatto will cluster.

Rafed,
I can't wait. I feel really blessed as I have dozens of new varieties I will get to taste for the first time this year.
I'll post again when they ripen if the tree rats don't get them. I'm going gun shopping soon as it's too crowded here to use the ones I currently own. I hate the thought of killing a mother squirrel when she has babies but they'll make a lot of noise and my murder of crows will take care of them.
Trapping and relocating is not looked upon favorably here in VA.

Nice!
