No comprende. OK.  I like mine fresh, and my recipes in English.  Carmelized onions are probably the same.  You just sautee on low for a long time, stir occasionally, and then they are delish.

When you have an abundance of ripe figs, then you can do recipes.  At the moment, I don't have enough.  In a year or two........

Suzi,

If you scroll down, you get the English version.

I make a similar sweet every summer, in Spanish we call it "Dulce de Higos", i usually make it w Calimyrna figs, which are green. It doesn't matter because the sugar turns all figs Brown. I also add lemon juice or vanilla.

Does the lemon juice add flavor, or dimension through acidity/tartness?

I did cook some kumquats with boiling sugar. They turned out amazing.
with figs they are eaten near the tree and no surplus to try cooking. My family likes figs...

Musillid I think lemon juice adds both. I notice many jams or preserves might contain some.

That's sounds and looks delicious!  Thanks for sharing.
