We did OK here in Cary, NC.  Little damage to my in-ground figs and just minor damage to my potted figs.

What fig varieties are you growing out there in Holly Springs?  I am new to the fig game but I have Brown Turkey, Black Mission, Celeste, and a cool wild type fig that the parent tree is growing in a ditch next to an extremely busy road here in Cary.  I plan to have Kadota, Chicago Hardy and LSU started in the spring of 2017.
