Yes, it's the fig wasp season again!
But for some reason, this one seems to be trying to get OUT, not in... 20160512_123311.jpg

Hi Shur,

Thanks for sharing this picture
What type of fruit is this ?
If you had a mild winter with several days in the mid/high 20'sC recently... the conditions are there for an early hatching... Here,  in the 2014 season by May 26th they started to exit the Profichi by the thousands..

Btw..on your picture, the whitish grains of 'dust' seen over the fruit surface, seem pollen to me!
If you can, best timing to 'see' them around shall be early morning up to 10/11H00 once the rising sun warms up the capri skins..

that's cool, I always wanted to see what it looked like

This is a seedling, not a known variety. It's either smyrna or common type (doing the organza bag test to make sure), but definitely not a caprifig.
I'm located in Jerusalem, Israel. We had an unusually hot April, and the next four days or so are expected to be 35C~ inferno. So it's wasp time!

Great timing!! Good picture :-)
