Cayenne Pepper Powder Worked!

I been having a problem with feral cats taking a leak or a crap at the bottom of my Fig Trees. You know that Cats will dig in the soil or sand use the potty and then try to cover up everything. Well, they were exposing the roots of some of my Fig trees and I was afraid they would do this this Winter and cause damage to my trees.

Well, I had read or heard that if you dusted the bottom of the trees (with red cayenne pepper powder) that they would put a stop to it,they do not like the smell up their nose or on their paws. Well it works! For the last 2 weeks every morning I checked, the Cats would dig holes to use the potty and expose some of the roots! The last 3 days nothing has touched the roots or spray the trees.......I am a happy man, It really works! :)

good  what you have pet cats

Good to know Frank, thanks.  Neighbor's cat likes to deposit in any loose soil it can find in my yard.  If I wasn't a cat lover...

Charlie,I am a Cat lover also, that's why I use the hot pepper powder instead of Gunpowder..LOL

I'm going to have to give it a try myself.  I've had the neighborhood feral cats using my garden, too.  Thanks for the tip!
