Super sweet! Best tasting fig this year! :-)

That strawberry jam color in figs makes them really attractive to the eye !
Congrats !
Did you give the tree a head start ?

Head start? As in plant it early in fall? My oldest Cdb tree is going on four years. First couple of years it was a very slow grower with very little figs to offer. Third and fourth year it decided to hit turbo on it's own. :-)

Looks delicious.  Being late ripening, I can't help but wonder how it would do in my location in a container.

Don, you would likely need a greenhouse.  I have mine in a container here in 7a and even with the fig shuffle I am just on the cusp of getting a ripe fig.

Hello Garden Crochet,

I am actually looking for CDB, and having a hard time finding from a reputable member.
Please see here, http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/will-donate-100-00-to-the-forum-7551913?pid=1288728473.
Could you please find it in your heart to sell me some cuttings.

Terrance from Montreal.

Real nice fig!

Any pics of the leaves?

Bump!

I have one cutting that is barely struggling along. I drowned far too many cuttings this year over 60%. (Next year!) So this came from a 4 year old tree? It looks good enough to wait for it!  I think I'll keep it in my greenhouse and see if I can coax it along. Thanks for the share. Enjoy the rainy day.  :)
