I still can not connect to the new chatroom. I have Java version 6 update 13 installed. Maybe someone smarter than me can help.

Errors I get are:

ERROR: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
couldn't find irc server: chat.freenode.net , go back and try another one please.

i have sma e java version as you, hmm maybe its something in your computer settings thats blocking entry im not sure.

im also in the regular chat as well.

I think you are right. This is a computer that I used for work and is heavy on security because of the business I am in. The hard drive is encrypted so the IT folks do some wacky things with the network settings.
