can more than 3 people be in chatroom at the same time , reason i ask is some say they cannot get in and were wondering about the create new channel option and how it works, can you help?

anyone out there want to try a test on the chatroom?

if we get three people in one channel, will it automatically put newcomers in the other channel? 

i have created a second channel, the foyer.

I have created a ''better'' version of the Chatroom to resolve the problems.

I hope the limitation is not related to paying extra dollars.

What I did what just an alternative if Jon is required to pay for the service. Otherwise, the feature he has is fine. 

Jon doesn't have a clue. He's so clueless that he hadn't even noticed the "chat" function.

On the websitetoolbox page they say the chat feature supports 25 users. You may want to give them a call to find out what the issue is.

I gave it a try and got some java server availability errors

Here is some info when i clicked link. The room looks very nice with Figs4Fun at the top of room centered and fig leaves all around the top and sides. When first tried i get the security warning and just clicked ok. It loaded and i signed on as guest as the password was already typed in the box next to it. I did not see guest on the right side where the chat names are usually listed. I closed and signed on under my screen name as Dieseler with my password as on the forum and in the smaller top box of room it said

server notice:*** Checking Ident

server notice:*** No Ident response
NickServ notice: The nickname Dieseler is not registered
(76-221-164-209.lightspeed.cicril.sbcglobal.net)Dieseler>>

i then noticed my name Dieseler suddenly appear in the chatoorm list of names. I right clicked my name and there are options there in a dropdown box with options like always on ,always off, info, for me, say hello etc,etc.
I was able to type as in chat but i did not see an enter button to send the type into the room so i simply hit enter on keyboard and then i had a nice conversation with myself!!!
Montreal the room looks very very nice indeed and i hopeing all others who are interested agree as well.
Hope this information helps somewhat.

Normally 3/4 of all computers have Java but there are some exceptions.

Dieseler: I have resolved the Ident problem it should work fine now

I will also try to come up with something to make it more evident that you have to enter a username.

little update about room,
i was in that room with Mark and we were able to chat, it took a little longer to load but it we were both able to type into room and chat.
We were only there briefly and could not test anything as he had to leave.

A little update, the link above is working, and The_Montreal_Fig has done a nice job with the chatroom.  If you want to try it out, click the link, and then type any username you wish (does not have to be your figs4fun one, but it is helpful if you do so others will recognize you...)  After you put in a username, just click GO.  DO NOT use your figs4fun password, it does not work, the password there is just a preset one, and you don't need to worry about it for now.  Try it out and see, there is no limit to the number of users.

I should add, you can register your name later if you wish.  You can use any username and password you choose...but keeping your username the same or similar is helpful in identifying yourself to others....

Would it be possible to make the chatroom fonts larger. Using bold helped some of us but larger print would really be so much better.

Montreal deserves the credit for setting up the room, i just tried to show folks how to get there similar to a while back asking what the chat function was in this forum .
Yesterday when you were in the room we talked about larger fonts but i did not see an option for that at least not yet.
But no disppare you never know.

try this it will enlarge your letters or what they call fonts on your computer. Click start then look for
your control panel then once you find it click on it,   and look for DIPSPLAY and click on it,   then in that new window click on the top of it where it says APPEARANCE,     and look on the bottom where it says font and its probably set on normal you can click to make LARGE and EXLARGE then you must click apply.  If you dont like how it looks just go back to normal and click apply . Everything will be large appearing on your computer and im thinking the all type in chat for you will do the same.
