Cheese-Filled Fresh Malta Black Figs

Absolutely delicious, even if I do say so for an early Friday afternoon hor d 'oeuvres.

If you hear something it is the sound of the drool dripping from my tongue as i stare at your picture.  Very nice!  Would you mind sharing some details?

what's on 'em? goat cheese, prosciutto, rosemary... and some other stuff?

First, FMD and now, you. You guys are killing me! I need to go out and find ripe figs. If not on my plants (which need a couple weeks yet), then I may have to buy a XXXL ninja suit. Think Amazon might carry that?

Thanks everyone for your comments. This is part of the fun on this forum.

I used the Black Malta of course because they are so good. I used Feta Cheese but you can substitute Parmigiano-Reggiano, Grand Padano, Stilton, aged Gouda, goat
cheese or what ever. I used extra virgin olive oil for the drizzle, snipped some fresh rosemary, fresh cracked pepper, and Kosher salt. Just sprinkle the pepper and salt.
I did not have any prosciutto so I used some slivers of Boars Head Sweet Slice Ham. Prosciutto is much better.

Hi Mike, I will be there next Friday for Hors d`Oeuvres lol. They look delicious. How you will describe this fig?

Eden, very sweet and jammy, no crunch and I give it a 9 on a 1-10. I am saving the 10 for Black Madeira. LOL

Thank you my friend.

Sounds great.  I'm probably lucky work blocks photos  :)

Mike,
I'm sorry  - what was your address again?

Now we're on the same page, Mike.
Can't beat that sweet and savory combo.

How did I miss this yesterday ? Even though I saw this a day late , still looks scrumptious !

Looking real good Mike. Send me one or two!

Rich, do you have this fig?
