I picked another China White and my first LSU Tiger. The China White could have gone another day but it was still very good. It's sweet, has a unique texture to it, and finishes with a nice figgy taste. It will take more to fully explain it but for now, it's a thumbs up. It does have a large eye that opens to the hollow center. It hasn't rained in a couple of days but I'm sure the eye was open at the last rainfall. The eye was looking upward until it started to droop. I really want to taste a very ripe one but I leaving town for a long week end and decided to pick it now. I was not disappointed and can only dream of a fully ripe one.  The skin was also good.

The Tiger was the first one that was all mine. Others had gotten close to ripening but the birds are watching closer than I. They eat them 1 day sooner than I would. This one I wrapped in a piece of foil. That worked very well an is easy to wrap and hold in place. I did have to break off the leaf at the same node as the fig to be able to wrap it. It tasted somewhat watery, sweet but not much fig taste. It might have been because I ate it after the China White. Linda thought it was better but she likes sweet.
