Col de Dama Blanc?

I received 2 cuttings marked 'Col de Dama Blanc' as a bonus in a bundle of cuttings I recently purchased.  I asked him about the lineage and origin of his tree and he told me from a "Mr. Baud collection in France."

So my questions are how does Col de Dama Blanc differ from Col de Dame Blanc (if at all?), and does this Mr. Baud ring a bell for anyone?

From what I know Col de Dame and Col de Dama are the same.
Monsieur Pierre Baud is known as the "Fig-Pope" over here in Europe.

He is highly respected,:

It's a late fig and needs heat.
Dama, dame are singular and plural of lady, I think!

They are the same. If the stock came from Mr Baud rest assured you have received a quality cutting. Good luck!

Awesome!  Thanks everyone.

I'm sure that you received the extras cuttings from a very generous member of this forum. If he says that the source is Baud, then the source is Baud. Take good care of these cuttings.
My Col de Dame Blanc was the most delicious fig in my collection this year. I still have to taste the Noir and the Gris. I'm sure they are just as good if not better. Time will tell.
Based on some member's reports and my personal experience this year, Col de Dame Blanc is doing much better here in the south than it is doing in the North. We'll see how it handles the winter.
You can look at the Baud Catalog of figs here: http://www.fig-baud.com/figuiers.html
