Col de Dama Noir

One of the best tasting black figs out there....everything you expect from a good fig...but,they need a long, long, hot summer....(not in Ohio.....).My tree is 4 years old,in a 55 gal pot, loaded with figs, but they need 3-4 more weeks of summer/heat...will see. Thanks for looking.

Hey Marius, I hope you get enough hot days, you deserve those figs, I will be getting some next season. Thanks for the info.

Marius, good luck with the weather.  It would be interesting to see images of your CdDN loaded with figs.  Generally I have heard people say that the CdD figs are only moderately productive. Mine are too young to really have an idea. Do you have any tips for getting them to be productive - pinching, etc?

Nice ...hope they ripen for you

Hi Marius,  I have CDDB and love it. How does CDDNoir compare in taste? Do you think one is better than the other?

Great fig. Wow, 55 gal container is huge. I hope they ripen.

Good luck getting them to finish. Some years in Oh you have a chance maybe or maybe in a greenhouse at the end of the season would help.
This year it feels like summer just started and within 10 days we will be down to the 40's at night. :(

Good luck getting them to ripen in time.  I planted a cddn cddb and cddg all about the same time in my yard. They are growing well but I've been breaking off the figs on all three so hopefully next year I can try them. I am very much looking forward to these.

Good luck. I loved dried figs when I was little, then I liked store bought BT when I grew. Now I only like mine.
