Col de Dame cuttings -Blanc and Gris

I'm making my first attempt at ebay selling to help defray some of the cost of my fig habit.
Started with listing cuttings of Col de Dame Blanc and Col de Dame Gris today , a few other things to follow once I get used to how it goes.
Just wanted to mention here that they are the real thing .
I gave away a large number of cuttings of these two varieties last year. Thought I would give ebay a try with this small batch.

awesome!!!
i wish you luck and many bidders

OK I'm betting we see a crazy number on the CdD Gris cuttings. I hope you do get a great price Kerry as you've been a generous guy in the past. I just hope enough CdD cuttings show up so I can win them without having to use a credit card. mgg

Found ya good luck on your sale

Hopefully ebay helps you recuperate you investment. Good luck

Good luck Kerry...

Best of luck with the e-bay auction.  You have been sowing a lot of time, effort, and money into your fig growing hobby, maybe now is the time to reap the rewards.

Good luck from me too, Kerry!

I want those cuttings.. I hope they don't go way over my budget... Which I think it will..  This fig fever has cost me so much money. Unfortunately, the only cure is to get even more figs :)

Very nice listing. I just noticed it before logging on. Good job and good luck!

Thanks very much for all the good wishes.

I just added the Maltese Falcon airlayer that I posted about earlier this season to my listings before I change my mind and keep it.

Wow I hope the bids go through the roof! If anyone deserves it, it's you for your generosity.

See these tears running down my face? :) I'm not going to be able to afford them so I hope they get more than $500 each!

you and me both bob.

Had a very odd thing happen to my listing today for the second couple of Col de Dame Gris cuttings.
I put down the shipping cost as $5.30 , but a buyer wrote to ask why the shipping was so high. They were seeing $40.55 shipping on their end.
I called ebay and they were seeing $36.06 shipping.
Every time I look at it it shows as $5.30 shipping.
Apparently happening on only one of my listings , but it is happening other places on ebay.
Anyway the real shipping price is $5.30 , hope that is the way it shows up soon.

Has this been an issue for others ?

I'm seeing "$40.55 Expedited Shipping" on two of your three listings. I just looked now.

Thanks for letting me know Gina.
There are hopefully 5 listings :
2 for CDD Gris cuttings
1 for CDD Blanc cuttings
1 for CDD Noir cuttings
1 for Maltese Falcon airlayer
All the cuttings were listed at $5.30 or $6.00 to ship
The Maltese Falcon airlayer was listed at $11 or $12 to ship.
Can't figure out where the $40.55 came from and
the weirdest thing to me is that it shows as $5.30 when I look up the listing.

I'm seeing between 5 and 6 dollars for cuttings and 14.15 for the starter tree

Kerry,
I'm seeing $32.20 here. Since the shipping is calculated by zip codes, you might want to check the weight of the item that you put when you listed the auction. Also, did you have any extra handling fee added into the shipping cost when you set up the auction? This could also increase the overall cost. I'm starting to see higher shipping cost since you listed the "Maltese Falcon" plant.

Way to go. Good luck.

Well I goofed up in filling in the shipping section for the cuttings listings. Meant to put in a flat rate ,but ended up with a variable charge depending on zip code. Thanks for the zip tip Peter.
Can't be changed now so I revised the listing with a note that the shipping charge for all cuttings is $6. The cost of a flat rate bubble mailer and delivery confirmation.
Not an ebay problem , a drivewayfarmer problem !
Hope to use the right form that can be edited next time.

Good choice of variants available. Kerry, any chance you can tell us which variant you prefer best. All the best to your ebay listing.

Paully ,
The place in Florida where I got the cuttings for Grise and Blanc doesn't share these figs with me, just cuttings. So I haven't tried them.
I grow the CddN here in NH , but took off fruit so the plant could focus energy on growth.
It is only 2 years old,but about 5 foot tall upright bush and needs a root pruning this Winter.
The Maltese Falcon mother plant had the fruit knocked off when strong winds blew the neighboring plant blew into it.
I was looking forward to it because a member who has it described it as a 20 on a scale of 1-10 and she is not prone to exaggeration.
The Ronde de Bordeaux I love because it is not only early ripening and great tasting , but it is one of the nicest looking figs trees I have.
Landscapers I know are almost always drawn to it first when they look at the figs I have.
As an aside one of the best figs I tried this season that was new to me was  Bethlehem Black.

Where's Howie when you need him?

good evening, im looking for martinenca rimada fig cutting, is there anybody have it? or some rimada series or call de dame series? thxs
