Yes I had fruits and they are second to none for taste, and flavor,as grown in my Back yard.
It is a late ripening cultivar ,especially when young, but I know it will become earlier as an adult tree, when it stops growing up.
So far I planted three trees for myself, and you know I do not keep bad cultivars ,more than 4 years to get a good idea, about them.
I am going to take some cuttings but not a lot of them,as to chop the tree down as i need to get it to adult stage as it is only 4 years old.
This one is a cultivar like Maltese Falcon,in that is a little more sensitive to adverse conditions especially when young so yes if you need a care free tree it is not for you,but if you want to take good care of it then the rewards will be great.
If you live in a ideal climate, warm and mild ,then it can grow care free.
