Col de Dame Noir

Picked on a rainy week so the skin color isn't as dark as normal. Can't comment on taste because I didn't at them.

is rainy week give you bad taste of CdD noir Jason?

jsaon, i do have one from CRFG by the way of one of the forum member. all my figs turned rubbery and i had to remove them. yours look great. USDA/UCD CdDB was great today. hope the CdDN will prove itself next yr.

Looks great, I'm guessing a family member ate it before you could. Unfortunately my tree only produced one fig and it formed late and won't ripen in time. If you get any more don't even take a pic just scarf it down!

It's not right that you put all that work in and someone else eats it.   They could have at least shared  ;)

I had a few CDDN's a week ago that never made it inside. They were very sweet and with a deep red interior. They were very tough to ripen in NJ. It took a lot of greenhouse cheating in Feb, March, and April and most of them(40-50) won't ripen. Maybe in a couple years it will ripen faster.
