Cold hardy fig cuttings for postage

Jimmy

Just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and generosity to share with all of us.
goss

I have sent my payment for my 10 unknown Bronx White.  I have some land in zone 6 western mountainous VA that will test this fig's tenacity.

How bout some pics and some play by play of the mama tree going back into the ground over at your place?  If your second job as a post master hasn't kept you from it. . .

I sent my payment via mail

Hey Jimmy.....any cuttings left?

If yes, PM a figure and where to send, also I see you nabbed this tree from the Bronx, not sure if you're also from their or????  I mention it only because I'm in NNJ and would be willing to pick it up if easier.

Bob, thank you for showing how to insert photos again. I will try again next time.

Best,
Tam

PM sent ;-)

This is the mama tree's new home.
No cheating this time, and I did it alone.
Just dig a big hole, slide the tree on a carpet right into the hole. A 20 mins job.

PMed and payment sent. Thank you!

I will be watching this one with open eyes that's for sure! That thing is bound to go bushy now.

Your soil seems to be mostly clay, will that be a problem for drainage?

Jimmy,

Sent you a PM and paypal money.

Do you have any other cuttings currently available?

Impressive transplant. Thanks for the pictures.

That is fantastic Jimmy, You're going to have figs coming out your ears, it's really big. Thank you for the pictures, please keep posting them. It will be a treat to watch it fill out and thrive.

Nice! Keep us posted. I'm always curious how transplanting trees like this works out.

NICE!!!

like the others said, keep us posted

Sure, will keep update how the tree doing. She seems a bit lonely in the big yard. Going to find her some companion soon.
In the past two days, I've shipped out about 60 packages, and run out about 50% of branches.

Do you consider it a transplant, or just a really, really big cutting? ;)

Gina,
should be transplant. It has root ball. It does not need to go through rooting process...

Jimmy,

Did you get the memo with the PayPal payment?

Chris

Received the cuttings today.  Thanks a lot Jimmy.  Hopefully my brown thumb can get at least 1 of them to grow into a tree.

Thank you very much Jimmy.  The cuttings arrived today in excellent shape, many with leaves and none wilted. Well packaged and care labeling was a helpful too.

Thank You Jimmy.  I got mine today and all looks good.

Thanks a lot Jimmy , I received the cutting and they look great.

My cuttings arrived in great shape. Thank you.

Hi Jimmy,  My cuttings  arrived Thursday.  I was going to try to graft some to my cherry tree, but the authorities in the know burst my bubble.  I'll get them rooted and planted and keep you posted.
Thanks, Mark

Jimmy,
I got my cuttings yesterday -- they arrived in great shape.  Thanks for going through all the effort.
Jim
